I imagine most of you will be settling down to watch the football so I'll make it brief.

The PCSO’s have been holding lots of engagement meetings this week, are you following us on X? @Chelmsley WMP to check out our pictures.

They have been in Asda Café & Lily’s Tea Parlour for Cuppa with a Coppa. Today we attended Fordbridge Community Centre where many charities working locally gathered to raise awareness & offer advice.

Our Officers started this set of shifts with a call to the Town Centre to deal with a Domestic Violence incident and subsequentially arrested a male at the incident.

The Officers arrested a prolific shoplifter who was also wanted for the theft of motor vehicle stolen from our area.

2 vehicles were seized yesterday, 14th July, a motor vehicle for no insurance and an illegal off-road bike for being, well illegal of course.

We might not be able to be everywhere all the time, but when we are in the right place at the right time we will catch them.

Please be very mindful when using ATM’s, cash machines.

Check your surroundings

Feel the machine for additional or loose parts, these could be card traps/skimmers.

Shield your PIN number from prying eyes.

Be wary of strangers/bystanders distracting or offering to ‘Help’

Yesterday, 14th July, we had an incident at the cash machines outside Asda which involved 3 males & a female who used all the above tactics. They placed a card trapping device into the card slot and waited nearby. When the machine was in use two of the males can clearly be seen looking over to clock the PIN number being used. When the card doesn’t materialise the female and another male advise and walk the victim away from the machine towards the Town Centre so the card could be retrieved and used to their advantage.

Around 10:10hrs on 7th July, a Mercedes Sprinter van had the driver window smashed on Fillingham Close.

Between 01:00-05:00hrs on 9th July, someone entered an Audi vehicle and stole Prada sunglasses whilst parked on Newby Grove.

At 03:40hrs on 11th July, a male damaged a Ford Transit van on Woodlands Way. Male was arrested and evidence is being collated.

Overnight 13/14th July, a Peugeot 208 was stolen from Whitebeam Road.

Fordbridge

At 04:40hrs on 7th July, a male smashed the front of North Solihull Sports Centre. They entered the kitchen and stole chocolate & the charity collection box.

Overnight 7/8th July, a mobility scooter was stolen from outside a property on Holly Lodge Walk.

Between 13:00-17:00hrs on 7th July, parcels were stolen from the communal area inside Merton House Crabtree Drive.

Between 13:30-14:20hrs on 8th July, a Ford Fiesta was stolen from Maple Walk, Chelmsley Town Centre.

Around 06:30hrs on 9th July, a Vauxhall Mokka was stolen when offenders entered the rear of a property on Runcorn Close to steal the vehicle keys. Vehicle was later found in the B25 area.

At 15:20hrs on 9th July, students from Grace Academy damaged a vehicle on Oxford Grove with a push bike.

At 12:15hrs on 10th July, the front bumper and VW badge of a VW Golf were stolen in Blackcat Close.

On 12th July, garage doors were damaged in Winchester Drive. They were bent upwards, but nothing was taken from inside.

At 15:15hrs on 13th July, an elderly female was pushed to the ground in Truro Walk by a male on an E-bike and gold jewellery was stolen.
